Presentation guidelines and practical information for speakers
Please make sure to prepare your presentation in Powerpoint for Windows 10 (size 16:9).
If you have any specific technical features in your presentation such as audio or video clips, please contact us to discuss any assistance in this matter (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Please bring your presentation on a USB stick to the Conference Center.
Presenters are expected to be present in the scheduled room at least 15 minutes prior to their session. See the program here to check in which room your session is scheduled.
Please make sure your presentation is uploaded in time (15 minutes before the start of the session). It is possible to upload your presentation earlier. You can use the breaks after each session or your lunch break to do so. A volunteer will be in the room at all times.
In all rooms there is access to WiFi.
Presenters of the preconference workshops on June 13 at Erasmus University are asked to bring their presentation on their laptop. In case of Macbook, please bring your Mac adapter or converter cable to connect to beamer equipment.
A masterclass aims to increase participants’ understanding and skill in a particular area of interest. Masterclasses can address both clinical and research topics. The masterclass is given by an experienced clinician/researcher in the selected topic. The length of the masterclasses will be 75 minutes.
You will be introduced at the beginning of your session by a member of the Scientific Committee. This member will also assist you in leading the discussion afterwards.
We suggest a 60 minutes presentation, so you can make sure there is still enough time for questions or a discussion with your audience (at least 15 minutes).
A flashtalk is a brief focused presentation on a topic pertinent to traumatic stress, typically including the presentation of novel research data. Each presentation will be limited to 5-minutes and 5 slides. Flashtalks will then be presented in a grouping of 7 back-to-back talks.
Please upload your presentation up to one hour in advance in the room “Plate”. A volunteer will be in this room at all times. Flashtalk presenters in session #3 (Saturday, June 15, 08:30 – 09:45) are asked to upload their presentations one day in advance before 17:00 p.m.
Your presentation needs to be limited to 5-minutes and 5 slides. We respect this timeframe strictly because we want to give every flashtalk presenter the same opportunity to present their research. A session chair will assist you with your time management.
See our program here for the order of the presentations within each flashtalk session (order is based on presentation numbers).
A symposium addresses one general theme related to traumatic stress. Within each symposium, there will be three to four sequential presentations, that all relate to the overall theme of the symposium. The individual presentations will be introduced by a general introduction or discussed afterward. Thus, each symposium has a maximum of 5 presenters, of which one introduces or discusses the symposium. The length of the symposia will be 75 minutes.
Convenors are responsible for uploading the presentations in the room their symposium is scheduled in. Please make sure that each presentation is uploaded in time (15 minutes before the start of the session). It is possible to upload your presentations earlier. You can use the breaks after each session or your lunch break to do so. A volunteer will be in the room at all times.
Please be aware that each symposium needs to have a chair who introduces or discusses the symposium.
Your session ends after 75 minutes. Please respect this time limit, so next presenters have enough time for their sessions.
The poster session is scheduled on Friday June 14, 15.45-17.00h in the Willem Burger Hal, situated at the ground floor.
Posters can be put up from 7.30h onwards. Please make sure your poster is up at least 15 minutes prior to the poster session.
Pins will be provided for securing your poster.
Poster size: All posters will be limited to 95 cm width and 145 cm height (portrait).
Make sure you hang your poster at the allocated board, please look up your poster number (that matches the numbering on the poster boards) in the poster abstract book. We have taken into account in the numbering that some presenters will present multiple posters (see poster abstract book).
After the poster session, please take down your poster, as the poster board will be removed that evening to make place for the event market the next day.
All visitors will receive a Statement of attendance. For our Dutch visitors accreditation has been requested for the following associations:
